Cheskin Builds New York Office With The Addition Of New Executive VP

Redwood Shores, Calif., December 13, 2005 ­- To position themselves for anticipated growth in 2006, research and consulting firm Cheskin, has recently hired Jim Martin as an Executive VP, Business Development Director in its New York office. Martin will be responsible for building new business development strategies for Cheskin’s innovation consulting practice.

“Jim’s stellar experience in consumer products marketing strategy will be invaluable to our clients and a welcome enhancement to Cheskin’s team,” said Darrel Rhea, Cheskin’s CEO. “His approach to client management and consulting will provide excellent support as we focus on growth in 2006.”

Martin brings over 25 years experience in marketing strategy and communications to his new role. Before joining Cheskin, Jim served as President of the Pittsburgh office for marketing services firm 141 Worldwide, A WPP Company. Prior to that, Jim led client development for DVC Worldwide’s three practice areas: DVC Communications, DVC Interactive and DVC ActiveCare and also served as Managing Director of DVC Interactive, helping to grow that practice area from two to 75 persons in a three-year period. In addition, Martin has held senior positions at Ammirati Puris Lintas’s New York where he co-founded the SmartWorks Group; Music Choice, a digital audio service joint venture offering of Sony Music, Time Warner and others; and Young & Rubicam.

Martin will be based out of Cheskin’s New York office and will focus on building consultative client relationships and managing key accounts in both consumer goods and technology.
